OKC First has been active in its community since 2008. It all started with our Outpost program, which was set up to foster friendships in our neighborhood. As we initiated relationships, we began to recognize the high poverty level hidden in the northwest area of Oklahoma City. The deeper we engaged in connecting with our community, it became clear that we needed to have an avenue through which we could gather resources and partnerships to help meet the needs of our neighbors. That is when we decided to become a nonprofit organization and started the process of becoming a 501c3, which we obtained in 2013.
ONE (formerly CCIO), Our Neighborhood Empowered, exists to positively impact Oklahoma City by partnering with and supporting our neighbors.
We are always looking for individuals, organizations, and businesses that are as passionate as we are about embracing our neighborhood! Check out how you can get involved in our work at oneokc.org
